GAMBÍN enhances its Operations Department with two new profiles
  • 17 February 2021

The Operations Department is the brain that ensures that the activity of a citrus fruit producing and trading company such as ours is carried out in an efficient and coordinated manner.

Thanks to the strategic commitment of the company and its professionals, GAMBÍN has achieved excellence in the optimization of its processes. However, the vocation of continuous improvement of the company, together with the increasingly competitive demands of the markets, obliges us not to remain immobile.

For this reason, two new profiles have recently joined our staff, who under the leadership of Manuel Fernández, director of the department, will contribute to the reinforcement and achievement of these objectives.

They are Antonio Rubio Serna and Pablo Gómez Martínez, whom you will know through these sheets.

  • ANTONIO RUBIO

- Full name

Antonio Rubio Serna

- Academic background:

-Geological Engineer with a Master's Degree in Industrial Organization and Logistics

- Age

40

- Place of birth and/or residence:

- I was born in Albatera, although I live in Alicante.

- Previous experience:

I come from a company in the automotive sector and previously worked in the construction sector at an international level (Spain, Brazil, Chile...).

- Your duties at GAMBÍN:

I am Assistant Operations Manager, and although I am still getting to know the company and learning about the work methodology, I am focusing on the areas of logistics and supply.

- What drew you to Gambín and made you decide to become part of this project?

- When I arrived for the first time I hardly knew the company, I only knew the name by hearsay or from seeing a truck on the road. I met Manuel Fernandez and I liked the approach he presented to me. The idea he conveyed to me about his approach to processes and his predisposition towards continuous improvement, together with the impression I got of the company, made me decide to take the leap into this project.
- What do you hope to bring to Gambín from your previous knowledge and experience?

- Although Gambín is far removed from a traditional company in the agricultural sector, I believe that there is still much room for improvement. From my experience (especially in the automotive sector), I can do my bit to improve and standardise processes, helping to eliminate everything that does not add value.

- How would you define the work you do and the working environment (structure, colleagues, tasks, etc.)?

- At Gambín I have found a very good working environment, the welcome from both the company and my colleagues has been really good from the very first day.

  • Pablo Gómez

- Full name:

Pablo Gómez Martínez.

- Academic background:

- Technical Agricultural Engineer, specializing in agricultural and food industries.

- Place of birth and/or residence:

-Your duties at GAMBÍN:

- Improvement of production processes, implementation of production management system.

- What drew you to Gambín and made you decide to become part of this project?

I was drawn by the opportunity for professional and personal growth in a company that is courageously taking the step towards industrial development and the technification of its processes.

-  What do you hope to bring to Gambín from your previous knowledge and experience?

- I hope to contribute to the strategic development of the company through the implementation and improvement of the production management system.

- How would you define the work you do and the working environment (structure, colleagues, tasks, etc.)?

The work is exciting because it allows us to analyze all the incidents that occur and are linked to the daily work in the factory, being able to define them, measure them, analyze them, implement improvements, etc... The working environment is stimulating as I find great professionals from whom I can learn every day in an environment where mutual support is a fundamental pillar.

-Did you know about Gambín before you joined?

I knew about Gambín because I had come across many trucks belonging to their fleet and because they are a reference in their sector and area of residence.
